Sleeper Projects Drumkit Info and Pricing

I could go on forever about how I arrived at the decision to build my own drum kit, or why I hate Guitar Center, or how I would blow off a dinner with most individuals profiled in Modern Drummer magazine, but this post is purely informational, intended for those interested in the SLPRJCTS drum kit.

The skinny:

20" kick, 16" floor tom, 12" rack. Keller USA-made Maple drum shells. Low-mass, single-point  aircraft aluminum drum lugs. Aniline wood dye. Tung oil finish.

The travel kit features single-headed drum shells. Choose from flat-top or quick release lugs (as shown on sleeperprojects website).

$1200.00 USD

Version 2 features a more traditional dual-headed setup. The addition of a resonant head makes for a more tuneable and resonant sound, though I incorporate an asymmetrical approach to lug layout, where the 20" kick has ten lugs on the batter side and six on the resonant, the floor tom has eight on the batter and six on the resonant, and the rack tom has six on the batter and five on the resonant. When combined with the quick release lugs this configuration saves on both overall weight and time needed to nest the kit.

$1500.00 USD

Both kits include rack tom mounts, floor tom legs, spurs, hoops, and dividers/padding.

Built with love in my Brooklyn living room.

Please feel free to write me with any questions.

Thanks.
